Seriously, this is one of the best yearly events happening in San Diego. Warranting attention from Pitchfork and many other critical news outlets in the music world, Four Day Weekend is the type of event that the San Diego music scene NEEDS more of. With headliners such as Peter Wolf Crier, Dirty Gold, Lord Huron, and Real Estate and with great opening acts, this is an event that you don’t want to miss! Our city may not understand easy investments such as funding this event, but do your part and support this event by purchasing a ticket!

Above are prints from Tyler Rizzo’s recent series taken and developed for her first film photography course this past October. Her self-portraits are made with gender issues like ecofeminism in mind, and are primarily created as forms of self-exploration, culminating into a darkroom experience where developing the self-portraits becomes a kind of spiritual experience. For all of you who were at Cubbfest and caught the night-time poetry readings, you probably witnessed Demi Anter’s spoken word chops inside the Chabi Chavi-curated art gallery. Besides her reading at Cubbfest, Anter has been busy this summer with preparing for her own poetry show, as well as distributing her latest chapbook titled The End of Dance.
